Exhibition in Pechersk

On 21 August, the exhibition ‘Draw Me a Poem by Lina Kostenko’ opened in Kyiv in the hall of the multifunctional centre of the Pechersk District State Administration. This art project brought together contemporary Ukrainian artists around the poetry of an outstanding modern poet.

Many guests attended the opening. People came to see how poetry is transformed into images, how Lina Kostenko’s poems come to life in colour, texture and light.

Many artists joined the exhibition. Each of their works is a personal interpretation of Lina Kostenko’s poetry, a visual response to her words that touch the depths of the soul. Together, they create a mosaic of contemporary Ukrainian art that speaks the language of images. The exhibition ‘Draw Me a Poem by Lina Kostenko’ will run until 31 August in the halls of the Pechersk District State Administration (Kyiv). Admission is free.

Exhibition of paintings in Lviv. “Unbreakable and Independent”

On 21 August 2025, the All-Ukrainian painting exhibition ‘’Unbreakable and Independent’ opened in Lviv.
The exhibition is organised by the Armigera art space. The exhibition is located at: Lviv, House of the Warrior, Taras Bobanych Street ‘Molot’, 1a.
Six of my paintings are featured at the exhibition:

The anniversary of the the BB Art gallery

On 9 August, an exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of the gallery opened at the BB Art art gallery in Odessa. I sincerely congratulate the founders of the gallery, its staff, as well as all the artists who collaborate with the gallery and visitors on this holiday. I wish the gallery prosperity and new interesting exhibitions.

My paintings are also featured in the exhibition: Niagara River. The Great Power of Water; Niagara Falls. The Beauty and Power of Nature; Niagara Falls. The Rainbow Colours of a Natural Wonder, as well as a painting by my daughter, Butterfly on a Pavement.

An exhibition of the winners of the XVI International…

On August 9, an exhibition of the winners of the XVI International Art Festival MALYU.UA was held in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation in Kyiv (Volodymyrsky Uzviz, 2) near the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People. The exhibition featured artists of all ages, from children to seniors, from Ukraine, Israel, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Poland. This is the 13th stage of the “War Generation” art marathon, which is part of the large-scale International Art Festival MALYU.UA.WAR, the only cultural initiative in Ukraine that has been ongoing without interruption since the first week of the full-scale invasion. It is the only project in the world that uses art to analyze the changing consciousness of different generations during the long-term modern war. The exhibition in Kyiv is dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day and will run until October 1. The exhibition can be viewed outdoors 24/7 (except during curfew).

One of my paintings, “Destroyed House in Dnipro. Horrors of War”, is featured in this exhibition.

The art exhibition ‘Unconquered Borderlands’

On 2 August 2024, the Shostka Art Centre in Shostka, Sumy Oblast, hosted the opening of the art exhibition ‘Unconquered Borderlands’ as part of the All-Ukrainian art project ‘Unconquered Ukraine’.
During the exhibition, 90 participants presented 190 works, united by the goal of showing the indomitable heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people in their struggle against the enemy.
The meeting was attended by the vice-president of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, artist, honoured worker of culture of Ukraine, associate professor Yurii Vakulenko, who noted that the Academy supports such projects that demonstrate the resilience of compatriots: «This exhibition uses art to show the spirit of those cities that were the first to suffer barbaric aggression. But this did not break the powerful inner strength of our people.» The National Academy of Arts of Ukraine also awarded the Mayor of Shostka, Mykola Noha, with the Grand Silver Medal.
The exhibition was organised by the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

The project partners are the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, and the Shostka City Council.

The All-Ukrainian exhibition Art Happens, filled with beauty, warmth, and a variety of colors, opened at the I.P. Kavaleridze Museum-Workshop.
The organizer of the project is BARVY ZHYTTIA (Colors of Life). Kyiv.

I started this painting in August 2024, immediately after visiting Niagara Falls. But circumstances forced me to leave and leave the painting in the United States. Almost a year later, I was able to finish it. I relived the impressions of this magnificent sight and tried to transfer these impressions onto the canvas. I think it turned out quite well.

Yesterday, the Museum of Theatre, Music and Cinema of Ukraine hosted the grand opening of the Final exhibition of the art project «Art Battle Challenge: Draw me a poem by Lina Kostenko» The exhibition presents the works of contemporary Ukrainian artists, which were created as part of the artistic competition called ‘Draw me a poem by Lina Kostenko’. The theme is visualisation of Lina Kostenko’s poems. The painting based on Lina Kostenko’s poem ‘A little more, a little more — and the flowers on the trees will bloom…’, which I painted during this competition, is part of this exhibition.
