On the eve and at the beginning of the war, many signs appeared in the sky above Ukraine, in which people saw the faces of Christ, the Virgin Mary, the Heavenly Host and Orthodox saints. In hope for peace, many people associated these signs as support for Ukraine and its inhabitants. At that time I believed that all the saints stood in our defence. Even now I have no doubt about it!

God! Save the children, please! How many people in Ukraine prayed to God with these words when they heard the first explosions on the morning of 24 February 2022! This picture was painted in the first months of Russian-Ukrainian war. All the horror and shock of these events I tried to convey on it. An unexploded rocket buried in the sand in the middle of a playground. In the peacetime it’s hard even to imagine this
