The ‘Spring Fairy Tale’ International Art Project

At Kyiv residents’ favourite cultural hub – the ‘Galushka-2’ restaurant, serving contemporary Ukrainian cuisine, located in the ‘Respublika’ shopping centre, Kyiv, Okruzhna Street, 1, 1st floor, an exhibition and sale of paintings entitled ‘Spring Fairy Tale’ by contemporary Ukrainian and international artists will take place from 1 March to 1 April 2026.
The paintings featured in this exceptionally beautiful international art project have undergone a rigorous selection process on a competitive basis. The exhibition and sale will run as part of the cultural centre’s programme from 1 March 2026 to 1 April 2026, daily from 12:00 to 22:00, seven days a week. The paintings on display span the following genres: landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and abstract compositions on spring and other themes. Realism, Impressionism, avant-garde, Surrealism, Modernism, abstract art, graphic art, figurative art and more. The exhibition focuses on female figures, spring flowers and landscapes, positivity, harmony, nature and its beauty.
The paintings on display, as well as works by other artists, can be purchased, thereby helping Ukrainian children affected by Russia’s military aggression, as part of the international charity project ‘ART-FRONT’. Art has the power to work real miracles! Children are our future! Only by joining forces will we prevail!

Landscape

Cappadocia

Cappadocia is the historical name for a region in eastern Asia Minor, in modern-day Turkey. It is a unique historical region known for its ‘alien’ volcanic landscapes, underground cities and hot air balloon flights. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, offering tourists cave hotels, rock monasteries and the famous ‘fairy chimneys’.
Cappadocia is:
— Hot air balloon flights, which take place at dawn all year round and are the hallmark of the region.
— Mysterious cave settlements — ancient underground cities (Derinkuyu, Kaymakli) and rock houses where early Christians lived.
— Unique nature — valleys with bizarre rocks formed by volcanic tuff (Valley of Love, Valley of Imagination, Goreme).

The complete image of the painting will be available after the end of the exhibition ‘____’, which will be held at the Central House of Artists in Kyiv from ___ to ___. The exhibition is organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey.

Colours of Peace

“Barışın Renkleri” / “Colours of Peace” 13–22 March (Artists’ House, Kyiv)
On 14 March, the grand opening of the All-Ukrainian exhibition “Colours of Peace” took place.
With the support of the Yunus Emre Institute in Kyiv.
“Colours of Peace” is an exhibition that transports visitors into a world of beauty, uniting two cultures and peoples, and presenting a feast of colours, diverse techniques and themes.
The opening was attended by Ali Oguzhan Yüksel, the coordinator of the Yunus Emre Institute in Ukraine, who was genuinely impressed by the works on display. He shared his impressions in a comment, which you can hear in the video.
All-Ukrainian Art Exhibition: ‘Colours of Peace’ — an art project dedicated to the friendly and partnership relations between Ukraine and Turkey.
The exhibition focuses on the values that unite our peoples: mutual support, cultural dialogue, historical respect and peaceful coexistence.
At the heart of the exhibition: images of Ukraine and Turkey as symbols of friendship; cultural and folklore motifs from Turkey; landscapes, architecture and historical sites; visual interpretations of peace, harmony and dialogue.
A printed catalogue has been published to accompany the exhibition, featuring a curated selection of works and artists participating in the exhibition.
‘Colours of Peace’ is an exhibition about what unites nations, and about art as a space for peace, trust and mutual understanding.

Winter ornament

When winter arrives with its bitter frosts, the windows of our homes are painted with magical patterns. The delicate, enchanting designs on the glass appear to be hand-drawn. Since childhood, we have believed that at night, when we are all asleep, Father Frost decorates our windows with his magic staff. And even if it is just a fairy tale, it always warms our hearts.
The magical winter patterns on the windows are surprisingly similar to delicate weaving made of the finest threads. And as we gaze at the patterns, strange visions appear before us: bizarre branches and flowers, fairy-tale animals, the outlines and shapes of fairy-tale castles, the feathers of exotic birds, transparent snowflake stars, the finest geometric ornamentation — frost patterns are diverse and unique. The drawings of these fairy-tale winter patterns are not only unique, but also one of a kind. And the magical artist creates more and more new pictures.
The winter patterns on the windows are mesmerising and striking in their beauty, and looking at them makes you want to marvel and believe in miracles! It also makes you want to capture them on canvas…

The winter exhibition in Lviv

On 29 January, a new art exhibition opened at the House of the Warrior in Lviv, featuring works from the Armigera Art space.
This exhibition is about beauty, tranquillity, and the inner strength that art provides even in difficult times.
This time, viewers were presented with two exhibitions at once:
‘Paper World’ — works on paper that reveal the beauty of simple materials and subtle sensations. Watercolours, pencils, gouache, mixed techniques — all about the fragility and, at the same time, the power of art.
The winter exhibition — canvases painted in oil and acrylic. These are winter landscapes and moods that remind us that winter can be not only cold, but also bright, cosy and inspiring.
The exhibition features works by Ukrainian artists from different regions of Ukraine, as well as artists who are currently abroad due to the war.
The Armigera Art space has been supporting Ukrainian artists for over three years, combining art with charity.
We invite you to visit the exhibition at the House of the Warrior.

The Red Cardinal — a symbol of family happiness…

This is the Red or Virginia Cardinal. For modern Americans, this crested red bird is an integral part of Christmas, and it has been chosen as the official symbol of seven states (Virginia, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and North Carolina).
Native Americans made the cardinal the hero of their fairy tales. Some tribes believed that the wolf gave the bird its bright, distinctive colouring in gratitude for saving its sight. The Cherokee believed that the red bird was the child of the Sun. In the Christian context, both the blood of Jesus and cardinals are used as symbols of life force, and this life force is eternal. Scripture clearly states: ‘By his blood we are freed from sin, so that we may serve the living God, glorify Him and rejoice in Him forever.’ Therefore, red cardinals represent life, hope and restoration in Christianity.
Nowadays, these birds are depicted on postcards, tableware and household items. They are a true symbol of family happiness, comfort and steadfastness. After all, these small, lively cardinals do not leave their native places even in winter, and even in the cold season they stay together as a pair.
Their songs are a set of very beautiful, ringing trills, vaguely reminiscent of the song of a nightingale, for which they are often called the Virginia nightingale.

The Romance of Paris

The romance of Paris is a combination of places filled with a special magnetism in this unique city, such as the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and the bridges of the Seine, with cosy cafés, street artists and an artistic atmosphere, where lovers stroll through narrow streets, drink hot chocolate at Angel or watch the sunset from the Île de la Cité. Such places attract not only artists and lovers. Anyone who visits Paris is imbued with the special, romantic atmosphere of this city, whose main symbols, the Wall of Love, Pont des Arts, walks along the Seine, complemented by the atmosphere of the artists of Montmartre and the mysterious mass of the legendary Notre-Dame de Paris, reinforce the romantic influence of the city, which, according to Balzac, has no equal in the Universe.
